Tacos y Tamales Festival location

Chicago’s Pilsen Neighborhood

Tacos y Tamales Festival has recently moved to a more spacious home in Pilsen on Blue Island Ave. (southwest of Ashland & Cermak). The street will be closed from Wolcott to Ashland with multiple entry points for easy access.

Getting Here Is Easy

Take the CTA Pink Line to either the 18th or Damen stops, both just a short walk to the festival. Bus riders can hop on routes 9 (Ashland), X9 (Ashland Express), 21 (Cermak), 50 (Damen), or 60 (Blue Island/26th).

There will be a dedicated parking lot at 2110 S. Loomis St. (Google Maps) just northeast of the fest with available paid parking spots on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are limited parking garages or street parking nearby, some of which is metered and others are free to park. Always check local signage for permit-only zones and street cleaning schedules. It’s highly recommended to use public transit or ride share if possible.

Festival Hours

Friday: 5-10pm
Saturday: 12-10pm
Sunday: 12-10pm

SUGGESTED DONATION

The Tacos y Tamales Festival aims to give back to the community as a portion of proceeds will benefit the local Pilsen Arts & Community House and Frida Community Organization.

The Festival is free to attend, however there is a Suggested Donation benefiting these local causes.
